Can no longer change rep. If you click it it just asks to change rest period.

Fun program but the app is a piece of junk. Buggy and unresponsive. No excuse for sloppy software like this, especially one with such simple functionality to start with. Save your money.
Apps export button doesnt work. It doesnt do anything when pushed. UPDATE 20140929: it has been over a year since the review above was posted. There have been some updates since then, but this issue is still not fixed!
You can no longer change the rep count on the final set making the apps useless. Do not buy!
I am adding my voice to the complaints above about the bug in the latest version which does not allow you to change the reps. Ive used the app for years and absolutely loved it. I never made 100 reps, but I started at 5 and now can do 60 (and I am 60 years old). Now my prized tally of total push-ups (over 31,000) is inaccurate and useless since I cannot change the reps to record actual performance. Moreover, the developer lacked the decency to respond to my inquiry. What a shame- I previously gave this program 5 stars and bought the book.
Ok I guess, but why is so difficult to customize? It says tap to change reps, but it only allows changes to the rest interval. Is this that difficult?
I hate to say this, because it used to be a great app… But… Dont waste your time here. I have been working with this app almost since its inception and I loved it. As of the last update, it is nearly worthless. You cannotchange the number of reps, when you do, it only allows you to change the rest interval. In addition, you can not even any longer look at the log. When you attempt to go to the log the program crashes. The interface is now all over the place… This program is now terrible I am sorry to say. The support is also terrible. I have emailed on several occasions, as I use this app regularly but there is never a response.I can only assume at this point they are allowing this program to die.
Cant even get past the initial test - I enter my initial push-up count and nothing happens. So I cant really comment on the program since I cant even start it.
The ability to change reps done has gone—plus the “log” button has gone wonky. It shouldn’t be a difficult fix—so restore your good-will with your users!
Gives you number of reps, but if you dont complete reps, you can change to log how many you completed. Can change rest, cant change reps. Try to click "log" it crashes
Cant change reps. Useless app now. Music controls get in the way of other buttons; no way to clear it. Utter fail.
You cant change the reps. If you do more or less pushups than prescribed in a set, you cant alter it. It has been this way for some time.
I loved the previous version of this app. I started up again and found that I cant adjust my last set! Then when I go to the log, it crashes on me!! If I cant accurately track my reps and sets, this is no good. Please repair.
This app is now terrible. TONS of bugs in this version. Cant modify number of push-ups per set if you cant do them all (even though it says you can), music player leaves an interface window hanging that you cant dismiss, youre prompted multiple times to enter the initial test number... Used to be a good app but clearly there was no SQA done on this version. Skip this app, get a different one. previous review_______________ Alright, so this bit of advice isnt in the documentation but if you own a dog, pay attention to the following advice ESPECIALLY if you just came in from a run with said dog, you are all sweaty, and dog is in that post run celebration/spaz state. So heres my advice, before running the "initial test" put your dog in another room and close the door. Failing to do so adds a level of difficulty to the initial test. If you dont, your test will go something like this... 1st pushup - dog takes position at feet... lick lick lick 2nd pushup - dog still at feet. No reaction from human after initial licks.... time to step things up... LICK LICK LICK LICK LICK 3rd pushup - no response from human. Dog changes position to head 4th pushup - dog licks top of your head 5th pushup - lick lick lick 6th pushup - lick... lick lick 7th pushup - no response from human. Dog changes strategy... instead of licking top of head, switches to licking forehead. 8th pushup - forehead licks continue... fast forward to 15th pushup... no response from human, time to change strategy. At this point she started targeting my eyes, nose and ears at the top of every pushup. I made it to 20 pushups on the initial test. I think had I not had to contend with salmon breath and an affectionate slobber monster infiltrating my personal space at the top of every pushup that I might have made it to 23 pushups but alas, 20 was all I could tolerate with other distractions. BTW, if you have a girlfriend I suggest hiding when you do your initial test because if you have a dog AND a girlfriend you now have the dog who is very intent upon giving you a slobber bath (whether you want one or not... and though I love my dog lets face it... a salmon scented slobber bath is never at the top of anyones list), and a girlfriend who will be content to stay on the couch whilst laughing hysterically at you and thus, encouraging the dog. I saw someone who said they couldnt understand the app? Hmmm, I have to say its pretty simple. Step 1, take the initial test (do as many good form pushups as possible and enter that number, this is clearly explained). 2, start the daily routine (the website advises that you wait a day or two to recover from the initial test). I dont think it could possibly be any more simple than it already is. I downloaded one of the "free" apps. I was happy to pay the whopping $2 bucks for this one because of its clarity. The free version I downloaded had three weight classes and absolutely no explanation of which weight class to use, nor did it have any initial test. The granularity of the workouts was very course by comparison and youre more likely to either get a workout which is too hard (in which case you wont stick with it) or too easy (in which case youll get bored and wont stick with it). Givin it 5 stars for now. If it delivers what it promises Ill leave as is. If not I will amend my rating.
The developer has stopped supporting this app, the last update was many months ago, and since iOS 8 many parts of the app are broken and completely unusable. It is no longer possible to use this app for its intended purpose.
I wanted to start using this app again after a long break. I reset the data and it crashed, but it did reset. Now I am trying to enter a new initial amount and it just crashes over and over. Looks like this app is quitsville.
This used to be a nice app but it no longer works with the latest iOS. The site even says that it is no longer supported. The reps can no longer be modified. If you have a really old iPhone with an old iOS it might be okay.
The developers just cant get their act together for this app, so Im now going to find another solution. The "latest" version (many, many months old) doesnt allow you to enter the actual number of push-ups you completed in the final set. So if it calls for "6+" and you do 11, your count cant be changed and your total is five low. Cmon, how hard can it be to fix this? Take a pass on this app, and if you find a great one... please let me know!
As others have said, this app used to work great but you know longer have the ability to change the reps you have done. This is a key part of the program!
I enjoy the program and it seems to be effective. Every time I go to the logs and then click log, to see what entrys have been made, I get kicked out of the app. Other than that I really enjoy this.
